2009

Happy 2009 to you all! Gosh...is it already Jan. 7th? Well, I thought I should recap our holidays for everyone. We traveled to Michigan Dec. 21-31. It was wonderful. Elliana got lots of love and family time. I celebrated my 30th birthday (even though I still feel like I am in my early twenties). I thought with age that you were suppose to get wiser and more mature...guess that isn't the cause for all of us..hehe. Our flight returned to Las Vegas at 3ish on New Year's Eve. After finally getting Elli to bed we sat on the couch, drank some wine and rang in the new year watching TV! I guess that is were the age is catching up with us! While we were gone a co-worker of Ryan's graciously house & doggie sat. Couldn't believe how much we missed Mya. It was nice to cuddle with her New Year's Eve.

We had a wonderful start to the New Year when Elliana got her first tooth New Years Day! She has been a bit fussy, but we're not sure if it's from teething, getting off schedule from traveling or not getting the attention (like when we were in Michigan). Honestly, she is still a happy little girl. While we were in Michigan we baptized Elliana on December 28th (as you can see from the pictures below). She was AMAZING. Didn't make a peep other than one or two goo's and was happy when the water was poured over her head. Her eating habits have been goofy since Michigan. While we were there she was eating a TON. Normally, she eats 4 ounces of formula every 3 hours with rice cereal in the morning and before bed. There she was downing 6 to 8 ounces each eating and rice cereal w/ applesauce in the morning & rice cereal w/peas at night. She has reverted back to the 4 ounces of formula each feeding but has been refusing the rice cereal & peas. This morning she FINALLY ate all her rice cereal again...hopefully we are getting back on track.

2009 brings lots of travel & guests for us this year (better take advantage while Elliana can fly free...yes we are cheapo's - hehe). We will be going to Michigan again in June for Kelly (Ryan's sister) & Blake's wedding and to Wisconsin in September for Jason (Ryan's brother) & Nicole's wedding and hopefully to Colorado for the holiday's. 2009 is already flashing before my eyes! In April we are having some of Ryan's family visit for Spring Break and in June or July my folks will visit (maybe Elli's first birthday). Who knows, there may be some surprise visits in between. Elliana will be 6 months this coming Sunday. Her check up with the pediatrician is on the 13th and we'll follow up with pictures and a full report.
