St. Joseph County Fair

Grandma & Elliana at the St. Joe County Fair!  Second cousin's Kenleigh, Alex, Doug & Baleigh all had 4-H animals (from bunnies, turkeys and goats) and some other items in the fair competion.  All of them won in some aspect.  All there hard work paid off.  We are glad we were to come see them one day present and share in the festivies.

Fall has begun...

Life has been busy for us Morris'.  It is officially fall here in the 'burbs of Chicago.  Brisk air, colored leaves and long sleeve shirts.  I have already made Ryan's favorite fall/winter meal...CHILI, had my first pumpkin spiced latte and enjoyed some football.  We decorated the house for Halloween and now have to get busy finding costumes.

Dexter is a FULLY walking!  He is into everything but  of course still the happy camper he always is.  He knows his name and understands NO, don't touch! ha  He has 10 teeth and eats all normal food other than formula which we have a month and a half till we can start him on cows milk.  He is doing well with taking the sippy cups, too!  I am hoping to get rid of all those November 3rd.  I have been starting to teach him basics sign lanuage (like we did Elli) so he can ask for milk, more, etc.  He isn't quite getting it yet but I will continue to work with him.

Elliana is the best BIG sister ever!  She loves that he is walking.  She loves  him so much!  She is doing great in school.  As expected a social butterfly.  Just in the 3 weeks we have seen her blossom.  She is getting smarter everyday.  She is very inquisitive and has a HUGE imagination.  She loves to pretend there are allegaitors in the house and jumps over them.

On September 16th we had Dexter baptised at the church Ryan and Elli both were baptised.  It was extra special because Olivia & Emmerson both got baptised that day to!  It was special for all the cousins to get it done together.  As you probably all expect Elli was a great helper to Pastor Karen suring the ceremeony.

10 Months

Dexter turned 10 months yesterday!  Time flies.  He has a total of 8 front teeth (four top, four bottom) and 2 morals (1 one top on each side).  This weekend we had a great time up at Nicole's parents house who live in Burlington, WI.  Nicole is our sister-in-law.  Ryan's brother Jason's wife.  :)
They live on a lake so we were spoiled with a beautiful view. The kids had a blast.  Some of Nicole's good friends came over for a BBQ.  They brought there families which made for lots of little tots running around.  Elli had the time of her life!  During this weekend Dexter has started taking steps.  By yesterday he was taking 8 to 10 steps in a row.  He is great at standing  (without holding anything) and bending down and standing back up.  Shocking my little man is going to be running soon.  He is babbling lots and lots.  He understands NO.  He says mama, dada and ball.

Elli is LOVING school!  Learning songs, stucture and getting better at writing her name.  Today she told me taht the teahers have whistle when they play outside and when it is time to go inside they blow their whistle.  She thought that was really cool.

Best buds!
