El's and BB new set up!

Elliana and baby brother are going to have to share a room. As you can tell like most things men and women share Elli get's 3/4 of the room where BB will get only a 1/4. Gigi (my mom) and Opa (my dad) sent Elli a new bed. It was actually my daybed when I was little. She LOVES it!!! We were finally able to set the room up and start preparing for baby brothers arrival. I found baby brother's bedding on overstock.com. We are getting a used changing table (thanks Kelly) that we will paint & set up in the coming week. We have been lucky enough to get some hand-me-down goodies, along with presents from grandmas, aunts, friends, etc. to help prepare for baby brother. I have washed his cloths and blankets. Now, I need to go through the garage to pull out bottles, pacifers, car seat, stroller and get that stuff all cleaned up. After that I just to need to get some last minute items, pack for the hospital and make some frozen meals that are easy to cook after his arrival and we should be all set.

We are in the 5 week countdown till my due date! GEEZO!

Labor Day Parade & Game Day

Ryan won this GIANT ladybug for Elli at the Naperville Labor Day Carnival. She loves this thing.

Update

Gosh I can't believe 3 weeks have past already since we have been here in Illinois. It has seriously felt like we blinked and already it is mid September. To start off the move it went smooth. Elli & Mya did great and I have to thank everyone for their help. From Vegas to Colorado to Illinois, we are truly lucky to be so loved. Being pregnant slowed me down more than I anticipated but we are good to go now. The extra helping hands made it all easier.

Since being here we have been thrown some curve balls. Having had some issues with our rental but all are being slowly fixed by the landlord. It has been a whirlwind of emotions to say the least. The weather, people and the area are really wonderful. We of course are missing our dear friends and the comfort of Vegas. With time we will be more established and grow some roots. I have already meet up with some sorority sisters from college who live in the area and attended a local sorority alumnae social event. I have been really putting myself out there talking and trying to meet people.

Last week I locked in a peditrician, registered at the hospital and had my second OB appt. My offical new due date is now 11/6. The baby and I seem to be doing great. I am a sweller by nature and have "pregnancy carpal tunnel" which is common but everything is looking good.

There seems to be endless things to do. Besides just work stuff. From researching preschools, daycares to just learning the ins and outs of the community. Funny enough you don't have a trash bill here. You buy stickers distributed at the grocery store and have to put them on your trash bag for pick up each week. I find this amazing & expensive. :) Also, Illinois seems to be as bad as New York with the toll roads. Figuring out IPass, EZPass & IZoom is a feet in its self. The weight of making sure we are all set for the baby is starting to creep up. I travel to Cleveland tomorrow for Monday Night Raw but once I get back I need to start washing baby stuff, cleaning and getting ready for baby brother. No decisions on names yet.

We drove up to Michigan were Ryan's family are (roughly 2-1/2 to 3 hours drive) and were able to be apart of Uncle Jeff & Cousin Doug's birthday dinner. It was nice to be able to be a part and share in the celebrations. Just seeing Elli enjoy all her second counsins and family is a joy. That Sautrday we went to the Michigan/Notre Dame game in Ann Arbor. It was the first night game at the Big House EVER. It was Ryan, myself and two of his buddies. It really was an event I can't put into words. The staduim is the biggest in College Football and the game set an attendance records of 114,804 people. ABSOLUTELY an amazing thing to be a part of. Given I am not a HUGE fan of either team but growing up with my Popsie (my grandfather on my mom's side) being a fan of Notre Dame and Ryan liking Michigan it made it fun due to the connection. Also, that weekend on Sunday the county had a rememberence service for 9/11. I thought it would be nice for Elli to go plus her cousin Alex, Kenleigh & Baliegh were invovled in the ceremony.

Above are some picture of the Michigan game and from the Naperville Labor Day parade we went to.

Baby Name Game

We have finally added our Baby Name Poll to the right hand column of this blog. Feel free to make your selection and leave a comment on this post if you would like. We look forward to seeing everyone vote. There are no guarantees that we will be sticking with one of these, but they are our initial choices (with the exception of one).
