Sleeping Beauty

This Wednesday I go back to work. I am on the fence about it all. Super excited to get back to normal life. Plus I love my job and the people I work with. The down side is of course having to leave Elliana with someone other than myself or Ryan. We are taking her to an at home daycare that Nicole referred us to. Karen (the daycare lady) is super nice, she lives close by and seems to be perfect.

From day one my feeling about daycare was "why get all worked up about it, we know we have to do it so, don't get all emotional about it." Well, this outlook lasted from the day I found out I was pregnant through the middle of last week and then all of a sudden I became a sobbing mess! I could barely talk about daycare without getting a shaky voice. Again, me not being much of an cryer it was a little out of character. Finally, I'm at grasp with the idea again (well until Wednesday..haha) and doing good. It is VERY crazy and emotional how you become after you have a child.

As for Elliana, she is growing day by day. Now that she is smiling a lot and developing more it has been super fun as of late. She is rolling over on her sides, lifting her head up more and making lots of noises. She is eating roughly 6 to 7 times a day - about 5 oz each time. She is closer and closer to sleeping through the night. Yesterday, she even rolled over! Ryan and Tim were the witnesses...bummer for me.

Enjoy the new pictures.

That little girl is so adorable-Ryan can't deny her-she looks just like him (or maybe like his little sister Kelly)-I miss her and can't wait to see her (you two also). I'm counting the days till Christmas and making plans! Going back to work will be hard, Angela, but you all will adjust and each day will get easier..
Love you all-Grandma Marcia

Going back to work is so tough, but like you, I love my job and the people I work with. On the plus side, Thomas LOVES daycare, so that makes it easy. You'll be surprised at how great it goes. While you won't get to spend every minute with your little one, the time you do get to spend together is more precious.

I'm so impressed that Elliana is rolling over. Thomas is almost 5 months and could care less about rolling over. Maybe it's because he has such chunky thighs. :)

Angela,Ryan and Elliana-
No lies here the first day or two will be rough. But each day does get better and the rewards after work are worth it. I think you are very wise to put her in care at a home as opposed to an "institution" setting. She will have all the comforts of home that you could give her. Our kids had the same day care provider since Riley was 3 years. And 4 kids later, we not only had a great provider but another family member when we talk about our day care provider. I will be thinking of you on Wednesday and everyday. All my love, Aunt Jackie
