Elliana Marie Morris was born on July 11, 2008 at 2:58am. She was a healthy 6lbs 10oz and measured in at a lengthy 20in.
After our doctors appointment on July 10th we went in for an immediate induction, due to low amniotic fluid. Here is a quick recap of how our evening went.
- 7:30p - arrived at the hospital and were checked in
- 9:00p - Angela was 3cm dilated and started to receive the pitocin (which helps induce the labor)
- 12:30a - Angela was 6cm dilated and received an epidural
- 1:45a - Angela was 10cm dilated and started to push Elliana out
- 2:58a - After only 6 hours of labor the most precious baby ever was born!!!
Elliana and Angela are both in perfect health and at home recovering.
We also would like to congratulate Jason Morris for winning the baby pool. For being the best uncle Elliana could ever ask for and making the closest guess, he will be awarded with a bill to pay for Elliana's future college education. Thanks Uncle Jason!!!
Thanks again to everyone for your calls and congratulations. We look forward to seeing you all in the near future and having everyone of you involved in the growing up of our wonderful daughter.

AWWWWWW! She IS beautiful. . . she definately takes after her parents. How exciting for all of you. You do know that all of us here in Michigan are sending our thoughts to you. We wish we could hold her in our arms and hold you too. But that time will come some day. For now, give yourself a big squeeze from the Rutenbars and feel our love for all of you. I love being a GREAT Aunt and Mike is also getting a kick out of being a GREAT Uncle, as he always has been! We love you dearly.

How wonderful your experience the last 9 months plus have been. You are truly blessed. Hold her tight and give her lots of kisses from Aunt Jackie. She is beautiful!! The offer still holds to be your nanny! I'll even leave Jeff and the kids here! Love you all.

Hello. You don't know me but I found your blog from Sadie's blog. I am a member of her birth board on babycenter. She had posted a congrats about your baby Elliana and I just had to check it out since I have an Ellianna too, only spelled a little differently. What a beautiful baby! Congrats to both of you!
