Here is a short update on our life. A couple weeks ago I flew to Phoenix for my friend Kendra's wedding. She looked stunning and it was very nice. I was only gone for 2 days. Thank goodness the Morris' were here to help Ryan out. I flew back Sunday morning. That same morning the Morris' left and that evening my dad arrived in town for a conference and was here for 7 days. He was able to bond with Elliana (without Grandma Gomes hogging her...j/k). It was a great visit. Once he sends me his picture I will post some.
During that week I got a treat..some of my close high school friends were in town. I was only able to visit with them for a couple hours but it was really great to see them. Plus it was a "guys" weekend away for all of them, so I couldn't bring in to much estrogen! Sunday, August 24th was Ryan's 29th birthday. He worked in the morning and wanted to just hangout at home that night. So I made him dinner and the Johnson family came over and visited.
This week I have been working from home. They were a bit short staffed so, I volunteered. Well, that is the current update. We don't have any big plans for Labor day...maybe just take it easy and relaxing.

How lucky you are to be able to share your bundle of joy with both sides of your family. It's clear the distance isn't stopping anyone from loving her and both of you. I am sure your father took a walk down memory lane holding Elliana and remembering how you were when you were her age!
We are counting the days until you get to return to Michigan so the rest of us can meet her and share the joy that you feel every day. Of course we are just as anxious to see you two also!
Give her a wink and a squeeze for us. We love you all.

Can I come over and play with Elliana?!?! I was at home the other day and saw the announcement you made of Elliana's arrival on the fridge...absolutely adorable!!! Have a great weekend! I cannot wait to meet her and see you both again!
