Sorry For Being M.I.A!

Well, geez I can't believe over a month has gone by and no updates to the poor blog. I don't really think anyone checks it anymore...so I will do this update to see if the viewership is still there. Please leave a comment so I know you are still here.

Over the last month it has been hectic to say the least. I had a wonderful "good bye" reception at the Thomas & Mack Center. Everyone there is just so wonderful. I already miss the people. Then I had a week off, which wasn't really time off at all. Everyday I had a "To DO List" that had me going from 6:30 am till bedtime...but at least I got some stuff done around the house. Then we went to Wisconsin for Ryan's brothers wedding on Sept. 19. A beautiful fall themed wedding. Congrats to Jason & Nicole!

Once we returned from there, I was off to Stamford, CT for two weeks for training in my new job! While in Stamford I was able to take a trip to NYC. It was AMAZING. It was like Disneyland for adults. I can't wait to go back when I have more time for sightseeing...like a Broadway show, Empire State Building, Ground Zero and even the Statue of Liberty. I did go to Time Square, Central Park, Rockefeller Center, NBC studios and took the subway & train through Grand Central Station. I am speechless of how amazing it all was. Back to the job...now I am 3 weeks into it and doing great. It is very similar to my previous job just from a different point of view. The job entails lots of multi tasking and major organization...of course nothing I can't handle. Ryan has been a jewel in assisting me get my office put together at the house...from painting, to setting up the phone/fax lines, getting equipment I need, to setting up the Internet...thank goodness he is so wonderful.

Elli is getting big, sassy and a handful. She is funny and very loving. She does have an attitude and temper developing. She had her 15 month apt. Got her shots and stats. She is 19.8 lbs (5%) and 32 inches (65%). Everyday she is getting smarter and smarter! She loves books and being read too. She loves to organize her toys then throw them everywhere and reorganize. She can throw away trash, put her cloths in the dirty basket and help mom clean up her food mess on the floor. She is the MESSIEST eater around.

Ryan is VERY busy at work. I think he has worked late for almost two weeks straight. But it is the busy season for golf in Vegas. Weather is perfect...75/80 degrees with a slight breeze. Not like the snow in Colorado!

I will try to not let the time get beside me and update the blog more frequently again...if anyone is even reading anymore!

The Word Is Out!

Some of you may or may not know but I have recently resigned from my job at the Thomas & Mack Center. My last day is September 17. I have accepted a position with the WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment) in live events marketing. I will be able to work from home and travel a bit. It's only 20% travel, but the first month or so will be a bit more due to training in Connecticut (at their home office). My job will be very similar to the live events marketing that I do now, but there will definitely be some new tasks and challenges a head. I am looking forward to new opportunities!
As many of you know it will be tough saying good bye to everyone at the TMC. I have been employed here since I was 18 and have built many strong friendships due to it. I have grown up here! I was a naive girl, from a small town, who has become a wife and mother and I really appreciate all the wonderful people who have shared and help me grow up during my 11-1/2 years at the Thomas & Mack Center! Cheers to whats to come and what has gotten me this far!

My Trip To Colorado

This past weekend Elli and I took a trip to my homeland to share in my counsin's wedding. It was a casual affair with close friends and family. It was a very special day and I'm so happy I was a part of it. Enjoy some pictures from the weekend.

Finally an Update!

First and foremost our deepest apologies for not updating sooner! Where or where has this last month gone. Since Elli has turned one she keeps us on our toes! She is running all over the place and developed a sassy little attitude. Fun at times and frustrating at times. She loves repeating the word "NO" and giggling. She can wave, give kisses (open mouth) and laugh hysterically. Ryan and I have been non stop with work, hanging out with friends and our favorite TV show right now BIG BROTHER (which airs 3 times a week). He went to Chicago/Traverse City for his brother's bachelor party at the beginning of August. He was able to spend some quality time with is his bro, dad, uncle and brother-in-law. And not enought time with his sister, mom, aunt Judy and cousin Kenleigh. We are counting down for his brothers wedding in Wisconsin, September 19th. The plane ride will be a challenge now that Elli is 100% mobile, but it will be great enjoying Nicole & Jason's nuptial festivities and catching up with family.
Life has not only been busy for just us but for our extended family also. And when I say extended - both sides of the family are EXTENDING. We want to congratulate Drew Ruttenbar (Ryan's cousin) and NEW fiance Jessica Franks on their engagement (May 29th). They are planning a July 2010 wedding in Michigan. Also, another cousin of Ryan's purposed to his special lady...congrats to Jeff Morris & Angela Effa on there engagement (August 14th). Then to my side of the spectrum....congrats to my cousin and his lovely wife Jarad & Megan Pence on expecting their first child on January 16, 2010. They hope to find out the gender TOMORROW. I am sitting on the edge of my seat. On my side there is Elli & baby Lucas...girl & boy...the anticipation of what gender the new baby will be is killing us all. Then my dear cousin Randi Lee Lawson and her soon-to-be hubby Matt Kiele on August 29th (can't wait to share in their wedding celebration) are expecting their first child March 18, 2010. It is truly exciting to hear ALL this wonderful news and though we are so far away to be able to share in it. We will try not to let a month go by without updating the blog! ENJOY the pictures below.
