Still preggers!

Ryan took me out on our last "date night" as non-parents. Here is a picture as we were leaving. We went to this YUMMY place called Bone Fish. It was scrumshish! Tomorrow, I go back to work after taking the last week off and boy am I glad to go back. It will make the days go by faster rather than thinking about when I am going to have this baby.

06/27 Appointment..

So, everything is still the same. I am still 2 cm dilated and 50 to 60% effaced. The only progression is that she is REALLY low. She has dropped a lot. But other than that no news. The doctor encouraged me to walk, walk, walk but to be cautious of my swollen feet. The doc suggested MAYBE a 4th of July baby? Who knows....

Next check up July 3...

OMG.... 38 Weeks Today!!!

Only two weeks (14 days) until D-DAY...when-oh-when will Elli be here? I have some annual vacation days I have to use by June 30 or I loose them, so I have been taking days off here and there. Nicole & Tim are on track break (Nevada has year round school and track breaks are like mini summer vacations that account for a "normal" summer vacation which a 9 month school would have). Anyway, I have been hanging out with Mya and them during the day since they are off.

It's nice to relax but I'm also getting a little stir crazy. I'm not use to this down time. Ryan is probably going crazy from my calls all day long...haha. I have been trying to walk a lot to help induce labor (even though I think that is all hog wash and an old wives tale)...why not try it right? I heard pineapple and raspberry tea helps get labor going, so I have been indulging on that to. I will never go as far as the caster oil but stuff I like I will try.

Well, keep your fingers crossed that at my appointment tomorrow they tell me I am progressing and not stuck at the 2 cm and 60% thinned. Even if it is slow I just want some progression.

Until tomorrow....

June 20th Dr's Appointment

We went in to the doctors office today with no idea of what to expect.

Here it is: I am a LOOSE 2 centimeters dilated. I am about 60% thinned. I measured at 38 weeks (rather than 37 ). I have to say even though I could be at 2 centimeters for a while at least my cervix is getting ready and not shut like a clam...haha.

Ryan asked the doctor her weight guess again and she said 7 lbs. 5 oz. The only bad news was that my favorite doctor (Dr. Burns) of the 3, at the practice, goes off call today at 2 pm until the week of July 7. So, if I go early one of the other two doctors will deliver me (Dr. Docasar or Dr. Keller). Next appointment is next Friday, June 27!

On Wednesday Ryan's work threw us a little baby shower lunch. It was so nice. Here is a photo from it.

Big O Belly

So the heat has finally hit 100+...EEEKS! Actually, it's just made me become a hermit. I never leave work during the day unless I am going home and I haven't really been leaving the house on the weekends after 11ish (haha).

As you can see my belly has gotten BIG! In the last two weeks it has really "POPPED." I'm really feeling the weight in my butt and ankles. Still got the lovely swelling (it's really pretty). I just avoid wearing anything other than pants that cover them so, people don't go "Oh goodness...your feet." They get a little sore but once they are up everything is fine. Still feeling good other than the normal feeling of being a fat pig. I can't wait to be able to go for a run, do squats, lunges...get back in shape. I have to say I know the true meaning of thunder thighs and cankles now...haha. Everything is ready to go and it is all a waiting game now. Still being at work is really helping time go by. I have my 37 week appt. Friday and then I'll start going every week...YIPPEE.
Soon baby Elliana will be here! Can you believe that some of you out there will soon be great grandparents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, great aunts & uncles, second cousins, etc. Geez...it is getting close!

35th Week Dr's Appointment

Quick update: We went to the doctor yesterday and I'm still doing great. I need to continue cutting out sodium in my diet and drinking LOTS of water. They did the Group B test and I should have my results before the next appt. If it is positive they will have to give me antibiotics during labor so the baby doesn’t get the bacteria. No worries though

The doc said I was looking good. She measured me, checked the heartbeat and checked my cervix. I wasn’t dilated or anything, but one exciting part was that the baby's head is down and she has dropped and is one step closer to coming out. Next appt. is June 20.

New Car

So here it is - the new car. It was a tough week giving up the 4Runner…that was Ryan’s baby. But sometimes (especially with the economy the way it is) we had no other choice. The Camry is very spacious and comfortable. It will be less expensive in maintenance and gas. Ryan wants to eventually get some nice rims and of course hook up the Sirius radio…but check it out…

Nursery Update

Finally, some pictures of the nursery. As you can see I have a FUN fluffy purple carpet with some nice purple tab top curtains. Ryan refinished and painted some old furniture that my Nana passed down to me. Then, my favorite, the sleigh style crib, which converts into a toddler bed. Let’s hope we can make it last that long. All the pictures on the wall are from when Ryan and I were younger. The walls are a nice buttery yellow. We were going for practical décor that will last a while. I found some of those cute word wall décor, as you can see (same Family, Love, laugh, etc.). My mom and dad are reupholstering a rocking chair. So that will be coming soon. Hope you like….Ryan & I sure do. The bedding is called Sweet as a Daisy. It is green, purple & yellow with little lady bugs, butterflies and flowers on it.
Let us know what you think!
